Meet Our TechCred Faculty

Background-blur.jpg

The 2026 TechCred faculty is drawn from international arbitration practice, digital forensics, computer science and data protection law. Members have chaired institutional task forces on artificial intelligence in arbitration, built the technology under discussion, and sat on the tribunals that have to apply it.

Under the direction of Prof. Barry Appleton, FCIArb, Co-Director of the Center for International Law at New York Law School and author of the leading scholarship on the first annulment of an arbitral award for undisclosed AI use, the faculty combines doctrinal authority with working technical knowledge.

The full 2026 faculty will be announced in October.

A pre-eminent practitioner and scholar on international arbitration, global business, and regulation of the digital economy, Prof. Appleton has acted in landmark disputes and authored leading publications on NAFTA, investment arbitration, and multilateral trade law. His practice focuses on the impact of the emerging digital economy on international arbitration and international economic law.
