TechCred certifies technology competence for arbitrators, mediators and disputes counsel.

Twelve hours of instruction across three live sessions, including three hours of ethics, delivered by a faculty drawn from international arbitration practice, digital forensics, computer science and data protection law.

 

Participants who complete all three sessions and the final assessment earn the TechCred Certificate of Competence in Digital Arbitration Practice, credentialed by New York Law School through its Center for International Law and recognised by the ABA International Law Section.

 

Because the field moves, the credential renews annually.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

 

By the end of the TechCred Program, participants will be able to:

 

• Apply a structured reliability test to AI-generated and AI-influenced evidence.

• Identify where data protection obligations attach in an arbitral proceeding, and to whom, including where a tribunal is itself a controller.

• State which artificial intelligence obligations currently bind them, which have been deferred, and why the distinction matters more than the date.

• Recognise concealed instructions and other manipulation of material submitted to a proceeding, and know what a tribunal can do about it.

• Draft cybersecurity, data handling and AI transparency provisions into a procedural order.

• Take a considered position on disclosing their own use of artificial intelligence, and defend it.

• Evaluate an institutional adjudicative AI system against due process and enforceability requirements.
